Akbar’s, Leeds Road, Bradford
Akbar’s first opened in Bradford in 1995 and, 20 years later, the restaurant has expanded to most other UK cities. It has gained a reputation for excellence and continues to go from strength-to-strength. Akbar’s has been part of the Curry Capital team on numerous occasions and continues to support the city in its quest to remain Curry Capital of Britain.
Kipling’s – Greengates, Bradford
Kipling’s have been involved with the Curry Capital bid since the beginning in 2004 and are proud to continue to be part of the team. Nearly 20 years ago, Pervis and Raf wanted to create authentic Indian cuisine but to present it with Western influences. The vision worked and was an instant success; the popularity of the restaurant grew and is still highly recommended today, offering a relaxed and unique setting.
Shimla Spice, Keighley
Shimla Spice has been a team member for six years and has been on the winning team for the last five years in a row. Shimla Spice Restaurant was the vision of three brothers who, from a very early age, wanted to make a name for themselves in the culinary world. The popularity of the restaurant is highlighted by an array of awards. In 2015 Shimla Spice were presented by the English curry awards, the Best Indian Restaurant in Yorkshire award and Faisal Hussain Curry King of England.
